This week's 9:30 gathering looks a little different. Pastor Katy Wheat Borhauer welcomes five students from Church of the Messiah, Jay, Luisa, Noah, Ian, and Brielle, for a live panel discussion on Matthew 7:1–12, the same passage explored in this week's sermon, "The Plank Problem." With honesty and humor, the students talk through what drives them crazy about the people closest to them, whether their first instinct is to look at their own faults or someone else's, and the difference between judging someone and simply noticing something is wrong. Along the way, they share real stories, a dad's gentle correction during a driving lesson, a coach's honest word mid-tournament, and close with one thing each of them wants to try this week: giving compliments to strangers, being slower to judge, and remembering that everyone you meet is fighting a battle. It's a candid, encouraging look at what it means to treat others the way we want to be treated, straight from the next generation of our church.
